The address to paste:
https://voterguidecommons.org/mcp
It covers three states so far. Wisconsin comes from Wisconsin Watch's 2026 voter guide: governor and the other statewide offices, the U.S. House and the state legislature. Michigan comes from Planet Detroit's 2026 voter guide, which asks candidates about environmental policy: statewide offices and boards, Congress and the legislature. Georgia comes from Grady Newsource's 2026 election guide, reported by journalism students at the University of Georgia: the statewide offices, plus one congressional district and six legislative districts in northeast Georgia. Other states come in as their newsrooms join.

In other AI agents
Some agents can connect without a settings page. Paste this into a chat:
Connect to the Voter Guide Commons MCP server at https://voterguidecommons.org/mcp. It's a remote MCP server using Streamable HTTP, and it needs no sign-in or API key. Once it's connected, use it whenever I ask about candidates, races or what's on my ballot. Answer by quoting the newsroom voter guides it returns, and link to each guide. If it doesn't cover my state or race, tell me that instead of answering from memory. If you can't connect to MCP servers, tell me so. Don't search the web for answers instead.
Not every agent can do this, but it's worth a try. If your agent has a place to add an MCP server, it needs only the address:
https://voterguidecommons.org/mcp
Check that it worked
You'll know it's working when the answer quotes Wisconsin Watch, Planet Detroit or Grady Newsource and links to the guide. If it answers without naming one of them, it didn't use Voter Guide Commons. Start a new chat, ask about a Wisconsin, Michigan or Georgia race, and if the assistant asks permission to use Voter Guide Commons, allow it.

Things to ask
"I live at 200 E Wells St, Milwaukee. What's on my ballot?"
"Compare what Wisconsin's candidates say about child care."
"What do Michigan candidates say about cleaning up PFAS?"
"Who's running for Milwaukee school board?" No guide here covers school board, and it will tell you so instead of guessing.
